Siok Chin graduated with a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the
National University of Singapore in 1993 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor in 1994.
Siok Chin joined ACIES Law Corporation as a Director in 2004. She is the Director in charge of our Corporate Practice.
Prior to that, she practised as a Partner in the Corporate and Capital Markets Practice Group of M/s Rajah & Tann. Before joining M/s Rajah & Tann, Siok Chin was with GES International Limited, a company listed on both the Singapore Stock Exchange and the Australian Stock Exchange. Siok Chin held dual portfolios there, both as its Chief Legal Director as well as Director of Corporate Development. Before joining the GES Group, Siok Chin was a Partner with M/s Yeo Wee Kiong and Partners, a corporate practice law firm.
She has extensive experience in equity and debt capital offerings; pre-IPO financing, lPOs and listings on the Singapore Exchange involving Singapore companies as well as regional companies such as PRC, Malaysian companies and advisory work on regulatory issues including securities regulations, stock exchange practice and procedure and compliance issues, and corporate governance.
Her involvement in M&A work includes takeovers and reverse takeovers of companies by way of asset injections and divestments, acquisitions and divestments of companies, businesses and assets in domestic as well as cross-border transactions mergers and schemes of arrangement and capital reorganisations and corporate restructuring.
She is an Independent Director of several companies listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. With her experience in both private practice and listed companies, she is well equipped to handle a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions.
